If your pet is knuckling their hind paws, the Rear No-Knuckling Training Sock can help them to regain proper paw placement. It is a training and exercise tool intended for short term use as part of a rehab program. It is designed to help retrain pets that have either been diagnosed with a neurological condition causing them to drag their hind paws, or senior pets experiencing hind end weakness. The training sock works on the pathway from the withdrawal reflex in the paw to the brain, helping pets pick up their feet when knuckling under or dragging their hind paws.

- Designed to enhance proprioception, while also supporting above and below the joint.
- Lightweight, comfortable, and adjustable, with convenient touch-fastener closures.

  • To be used for 5 minute training sessions and removed in between.
  • Encourage Pet to Pick Their Foot Up: Stimulates a pet between the toes, evoking a withdrawal reflex.

  • Corrects Paw Placement: Designed to enhance proprioception.

How the Training Sock Works

The cord loop of the Rear No-Knuckling Training Sock applies light tension under the paw, which stimulates the nerve endings in between the toes. This stimulation invokes a withdrawal reflex that causes the pet to pick up their toes higher and place their paw correctly on the ground. Over time, use of the training sock in daily 5 minute rehab exercises will retrain the body, helping to correct gait and rear paw placement.

Rehab expert Renee Mills, CCRP designed the Rear No-Knuckling Training Sock for use by veterinarians and rehabs, but also for at-home use by the pet parent so they can continue their rehab at home. This product should be used under the advice of your vet or rehab specialist.
